Packard Bell vintage powerbeast!

Thread Starter
I have a Packard Bell Multimedia R500 that I'm looking to sell. Below are the specs:

200MHz Pentium I MMX Processor
Microsoft Windows 95
4.3GB Hard Disk Drive
32MB EDO RAM
56K Datafax modem
52X CD-ROM Drive
1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive
15 inch monitor
Expandable with 2 5.25 inch drive bays.
2 USB Ports

Case is white with gray trim, the motherboard lays flat on the bottom of the case. A riser card contains 3 ISA and 2 PCI slots. The one ISA card appears to be a combination soundcard(Creative turtle beach) and 56k modem. Speakers are integrated into the monitor. Comes with all cables and peripherals shown in the pictures on photobucket.

The computer starts up in about 35-40 seconds. I'm not sure of the specific time, but it's quicker than my 2.66GHz p4 northwood will start. All of the installed apps work and open quickly. The computer has USB support, although I've not tested the 2 onboard ports.

I've had to replace the factory cdrom drive and mouse. I have the old cdrom, but not the old mouse. The new cdrom and mouse is included. You can have the old broken cdrom if you want. Otherwise I'm going to throw it away when the computer sells.

I have taken and uploaded several pictures to my photobucket account. Take note, the pictures flow onto the second page as well.

I am a respected buyer and seller on ebay, with the username of tman2093. My feedback score is 100% from 22 ebayers. You may email me there, at tman2093@charter.net, AnthonyGandy@gmail.com or on AOL instant messenger at AmericanCars2093. I've been asking $150 locally, but I will accept any reasonable offer. Buyer to incur shipping charges. Keep in mind this is a desktop, and shipping could prove quite expensive. I live near Hickory North Carolina, and would be willing to deliver short distances, or meet in the middle with a buyer.

If I've failed to mention anything, or you are interested, please contact me, even if only slightly interested!

Thanks for looking!

[b]I Have To Assume This Is Meant To Be A Joke...Right??

I assure you, I'm not joking. I can see where you would say that, but someone must want this thing. It's got that wierd factor. It would be a hit at LAN parties if you could figure out how to get a p4 or athlon chipset in there.

Someone has to have a use for this thing.

35 shipped leaves me with about 10 dollars. It's worth it to keep the power supply, cdrom, mouse, and monitor and trash the rest if thats all I can get. It's for sale locally, maybe someone will buy it. There are too many knowledgeble people here, not that that's a bad thing!

Alright but be nice
I worked in a computer store as a part time job and long story short...
some guy had sold this old couple a couputer because they "wanted to learn computers but knew nothing about them"

The computer was a P1-90mhz Compaq...they bought it for 700 dollars, this was early this year.
Total rip off

good luck with your sale eitherway
