I've installed Fedora Core 3 on my Dell Inspiron 600m. It has
a removable cdrom and I also have a hard drive for the media
bay which has linux from another laptop installation. I want
to mount this removable hard drive and copy some personal
files over to my primary hard drive. There seems to be problems
when I try to boot up with the media bay hard drive inserted.
I've made sure that booting from the media bay hard drive is
disabled in the bios. How can I boot up with my primary hard
drive and then mount the media bay hard drive? Does linux
support hot swapping the media bay drive? Also, when I am
booted up with the cdrom in the media bay and then remove the
cdrom caddy from the media bay, my system freezes. Is there
a way to avoid that?

Thanks for any help.
