Who ripped dell off? - Page 3

29140 lol thats for like 12 of em, meant 2900

True what they say about the "Few" that use the Coupons. I just saw an XPS G2 in another company when I was visiting. It was fully loaded, 2Gb Ram etc, and he paid almost $3,900 all in. The guy was happy as hell with it as his last Dell cost him $5,000 4 years ago. So he looked at it as being a good deal.

I'm not sure, but by his position, I'm sure the company paid a large portion of it, or maybe the whole lot.

I managed to haggle with the Dell rep, who was from India, very much to my satisfaction. This rep was very bright very dialed in, the accent was a minor difficulty. I left very impressed with the flexibilty in the exchange and purchased the 9300. Three weeks later I phoned up Dell, irritated ,in no small measure from reading these forums, that Canadians could not get the good discounts/coupons that the Americans were getting, The Dell CSR asked if $200 dollars would ease my irritation, and of course it did. So do I feel like I ripped off Dell? not at all, I have been smiling about the flexibilty and have been running around telling everyone I know how interesting Dell is to deal with and how they willl go out of their way to ensure and insure your satisfaction. Before this I wouldnt touch Dell, I think they are very savy and it was a mutual ripoff. but Dell has won because they have swayed me to their company and have left a very positive impression and not to mention the product, which is first rate.

Dell Outlet right before the last quarter ended. Normal price ~$3,200 - normal outlet discount (~$1,200) - added promotional discount (~$400) - 30% off coupon (~$450) - Free Shipping promo = $1,140 shipped.

You probably won't see outlet deals that good for a while, but there are still some OK deals in there:

Ive seen you ask this so many times Ouchemoma that ill answer it for you....The xps2's or anything in outlet for that matter are all used products that have been restored to original quality. Being so, they are cheaper and how many there are is reflective upon how many people returned their xps2. Get it? That's why you dont see xps2's stay in there for long because people are just sitting around waiting to get the better deal even though the prices are somewhat random....yes xps2's are inspirons and you just have to search continuously at different times of the day in order to see one in outlet (theyre somewhat scarce)

Thank you for my that information... BUT my question is whether or not coupons are applicable to dell outlet items. I do not believe they are. AM I correct in thinking this?

Most coupons are NOT applicable to the Outlet. However, every once in a while Dell issues an Outlet ONLY coupon. Basically, then, the only coupons that can be used in the Outlet are the Outlet coupons. I hope that helps.
