well i contacted gateway and i told them that it is unnesary for the fan to be on and i gave them the link to this websitel. I told them that the fan does not change speed regardless of temp. that it is always on and that no matter how much you undervolt the laptop that fan is always on. They told me that a lot of coustomers have been reporting the same thing. That gateway hope by the end of this month or the early next month they woudl ahve a bios that woudl correct this. They have said that they are trying there hardest to solve this issue. I told them that if you are lying to me that i am going to be bugging your ass off forever until this issue is solved. So if you have a defective model which means bacisculy everyone who owns the m680 all i can say is hold on to it because they are reasling a bios to fix it. All you can do is compain to them eveyone day. We nee das much as people to do this becuase we want them to fix it fast. thanks!
