Hi, i just got my i9300 on friday and first i decided to reformat and then while i was in the proccess of reinstalling the drivers onto my computer... my touch pad stopped working... This happened exactly when i plugged a usb mouse in to my laptop... I also had not yet installed the Alps drivers yet... so then i thought that was the problem... so i d/l the driver from dell and install.. but then nothing happens even with the usb mouse unplugged... i dont see how it changed anything in the mouse part of the control panel... I tried looking for the touchpad in the device manager and found nothing... I know the drivers have issues if you try to use another mouse but now i cant even use my touchpad.
I've searched through the forums and all i saw is ppl saying to un/reinstall... but still, nothing i cant use the touchpad... I tried looking for other drivers, using system restore to a point before, running the system in safe mode, err i even resorted to re-reformating but all to no avail... now its 1 AM and i should be sleeping but not with this on my mind. I can still use an external mouse but i would still like my touchpad to be functional. I really hope that I dont have to return the machine... thanks
