Both your microwave and inspiron 9300 will die pretty deaths full of electrical discharge.

It took me a minute to see the joke. Some people might actually try it as a torture test.

Put a blank CD-R in a microwave and press the popcorn button That should give you an idea.

i've tried putting aluminium foil to the microwave. no explosions whatsoever but visual effects ROCK!

try at your own risk ;-)

Go ahead and try. Maybe Dell can then advertise radiation resistant, or not!

Dell: This is dell Technical support. My name is *Anthony* Habib and I will assist you today. (say it with a deep indian accent)

Garyinthehouse: Yes, Hi

Dell: How may I assist you today sir?

Gary: well, it seems that in all my tinkering, I have accidentally placed my inspiron 9300 in the microwave, and i turned it on. and now if wont even boot up. What do I do?

Dell: Sir, have you checked all the proper and necessary connections?

Gary: it was in a microwave, what the hell do you mean?

Dell: Microwave?......let me see (Doesnt know what a microwave is, needs to go google it)

Dell: okay, let me check on you service status..........I can see here that you have complete care, and 4 years warranty. Correct?

Gary: Yes

Dell: Let me go through to see if this accident is covered..
Goes and Actually Checks the book..

Dell: Sir, how did the inspiron 9300 fit in the microwave?

Gary: Beats me.

Dell: Unfortunatly, there is no coverage for items placed in the microwave. What is the condition of the laptop?

Gary: The speaker holes seam to blend together, the dell logo on the back just says *Duh*, and the keyboard flexes a lot. But somehow, those Media keys in the front survived!

Dell: I can process this claim, sir if you agree to pay for the damages...But i did check and it is very much illegal to put items such as a notebook in a microwave....can you please hold while we transfer you?

Gary:.........

Dell:...Sir, are you there?

Gary: HANG UP

***********Would be even funnier if it was true, anyone willing to call dell and just say that u put it in the microwave??************

This thread is gay.
This thread is not gay. Much fun can be had putting things in the microwave. Go put an egg in the microwave for a little while and tell me the result is not awesome. Sure alluminum foil is ok in the microwave but eggs are where its at. As far as a lappy in the microwave goes, id like to see that in a funny videos thread.
