Wheww. Thought I was losing it. (Not uncommon.) From the forums I've browsed (Rage3D) the 3.8s and up seem to work better with the newer cards. A lot of old-card owners (particularly 8500s) are crying foul.

I just installed the new Omega drivers...I am extremely pleased. My 3DMark score went up almost 500 points (from 10,003 to 10,489), and I have had no issues with Halo or Homeworld2. Don't know about BF or DC, as I've not got them. I am extremely pleased...and I love the overclocking utility's existence, even if I don't use it.

What model Sager did you install them on?

I installed them on a 5680. Homeworld and Halo run even more magnificently now.

GOD DAMMIT: why doesn't these drivers work?? i installed them and now there is no indication that they are installed. I looked under Device Manager, Display Properties, and Directx 9.0b. None show that there are omega drivers installed. When i had the 3.8's installed it was indicated at all these three locations. WHy the FU** can't i get it right, i followed your instructions. Now i cannot even load CALL of duty. Can someone help me out?

Zacharac,

I do not do the Omega's because I trust ATI's own drivers and I have no need for them - yet. Although I did not have a problem with Catalyst 3.8, I just installed the new Catalyst 3.9 drivers.

You have to clean things up first. This link may help: http://www.tweaktown.com/document.ph...=guide&dId=569

Catalyst 3.9 setup.exe does not work for us, you will have to install the display driver manually, as outlined in an earlier thread. Do not forget to install the control panel and wdm drivers as well.

Speaking of cleanup, recent ATI Cat drivers, from ATI, come with a Catuninstaller now, which you can use remove previous ATI drivers before an installation. Check the ATI site.
