I’m about to purchase a laptop and think ive narrowed it down to these 3 –


Fujitsu amilo A 1630
- AMD XP Athlon 64 3700+
- 1024MB DDR RAM
- ATI Radeon 9700 (128 MB) graphics card
- 15.4" TFT-WXGA (widescreen) 1280x800/16M
- 60GB Hard drive

MV sirius 17 AMD
- AMD Athlon 64 Mobile 3400+ Processor
- 512MB DDR 400MHz RAM
- 60GB 4200rpm ATA-100 EIDE Hard Drive
- 17 inch WXGA+ TFT Screen (1440 x 900 Res)
- ATi Mobility Radeon 9700 128MB DDR GPU

Rockdirect QXTP-3.2
- Intel® Pentium® 4 3.2GHz
- 1Gb DDR400 RAM
- 15” SXGA+ TFT
- 128Mb ATI Mobility 9700
- 80Gb (5400rpm) HDD
- Video Camera

Which one would you recommend as being the best or are there others I should consider?

It will mainly be used for some gaming, web browsing ect.

I think that Fujitsu amilo A 1630 is the best .
good luck it is so hard to chose one.

mine Acer Aspire 1983wlmi 1.7 , 512 ram , 15.4 wide screen and Ati radion 9700 64 etc...

ok thanks ive narrowed it down to either these 2

- Fujitsu amilo A 1630
- Rockdirect QXTP-3.2

i can get both for about the same price but still can't decide

any help would be much appriciated

My vote goes to the Fujitsu. They seems to have a good reputation around here, and the AMD processor will work more efficiently than the Pentium 4, as well as giving you slightly more battery life, I think.

I would go Fujitsu, one of my professor's has one and he beats the hell out of it, and it still runs.
