That's because WXGA is NOT Ultrabright while WSXGA+ is.

Yep, I didn't realize that before.... but I do now.

Xarthan, which laptop do you prefer - the 6000 or the 9300, and why?
(I think you've had both, right?)

Also, you can almost always adjust the size of text on a webpage. For instance, with Firefox, all I have to do is hold down alt and and use the scroll wheel on my mouse and make the text huge. (Or you can go to View->text size->increase or decrease)

Seriously everyone, you can run 120dpi if you just tweak it a bit, and it make the screen look great.
You can do the same with IE as well. Have been doing the Alt and the scroll wheel thingy and it works great...

What if the 9300 with the 9 cell did NOT have the 6800? Do ya think it would get 5-6 hours? or not that much?

I have WSXGA on my 8600 (1680x1050 same as 6000d) and it is FANTASTIC!!!

15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) vs. 14.1" XGA (1024x768)

Really? Like which sites? And what kind of trouble do they have??
The dell sites doesn't work properly (have to use IE. urgh!), ebay often renders wrong, and I have to refresh 1-3 times to get it right. and a few others along the way (can't remember). Still, its better than IE!

REALLY? Wow, that's not good.

Wait, do you mean just viewing the page, or do you mean it won't accept an order, or ????
I've had all three, WXGA is fine. Like ive said before, I like the higher resolution because I view a lot of photos.

Anyone that wants to exchange their WXGA to a WUXGA or WSXGA+ msg me. I have a few extra.

When I try to config the computer, the selections do nothing (ie. price doesn't update).

With ebay, it is just viewing the page, normally the summary page.

Look at this for example:

It seems that it has to do with ActiveX capability that is missing in Firefox.

CLICK HERE for Panda's free virus scan, if you try to use with Firefox, you get the message "Browser not supported"

May be part of Firefox security and there may also be an "add-on" for it.
