Specs are out for SF3 and it seems the YP3 has more battery life than the SF3 (up to 3.2hours vs 2.7 for SF3)... How is that possible since YP3's HDD is at 5400rpm vs 4200 for the SF3 and the rest of the specs seem to be the same??
Isnt it suppose to be the opposite?!

i think toshiba is being more conservative with the new benchmark numbers.

yp5, does this mean with the models such as a Tecra A4 & A5, the battery times listed at 3 and 3.5 hours respectivly are almost accurate?

Just bought a Toshiba M40-YP3 from Staples. It is working OK except for the Bluetooth (did not work - just out of the box). When I hit new connection, I receive a message from Bluetooth Settings that Bluetooth is not ready. It does not show a port in com autoconnect settings, but Does this laptop contains a Bluetooth module to begin with? Toshiba site does not mention it in the Specs. Any help or pointers??

thas correct... there is the software but the actual module is not there, dont ask me why but it is not included.

Toshiba basically creates ONE image that can support the various configurations that may pop up in any given country. Moreover, they anticipate that the user may add bluetooth to the device in the future.

bluetooth is much more adapted and adopted in Europe and Asia....North America was slow to pick it up..but it is now picking up the pace...

right, but still m40s are one of the very few series that will contain a bluetooth module and this makes m40s more worthy to buy

i know that on friday the new F20 appeard on the shop toshiba canada site so i do believe that new products should arrive on the site when it comes back up....
