Well, about 99% of the people who've played the game would disagree with that comment. Have you actually played the game? If so and you honestly don't care for it, what games do you enjoy?

Um yes there is, It covers all of New york, CT and NJ and its $49 a month for 3000 anytime minutes. Its called the NY Metro Regional Rate Plan.

Use a calling card for your international calls.

Yes I have the game and thats why I said I tried liking it. Got the char up to level 30 and then decided the game simply did not hold my interest. For one the grind is VERY typical of any other MMO and is extremely boring and tedious. The crafting is nothing special and the pvp is plain garbage. If you want an example of an excellent MMO with awesome pvp for its time, its Asherons Call. I still consider AC much better than WoW despite its age and the quests in that game were much better as well.

What is it with young people these days and their cell phones? My younger sister needed help paying her cell phone bill, she talked for 80 hours last month.

San Andreas runs FANTASTICALLY on this Laptop at the highest settings. I am using a Joypad controller NOT Keys and Mouse. FYI, in the remote possibility that you don't already know this, you can buy controllers that have all the buttons on a PS2 controller but have a USB connector. You can also buy a PSX-to-USB adapter so that you can actually use your PS2 controller on your PC. I say this because a lot of GTA fans are like me and totally used to the PS2 port of the game.

Anyway, back to the topic:

I played San Andreas all day yesterday and it runs FANTASIC on the highest resolution and settings! I was actually a little worried because GTA III and GTA: Vice City run very well but keep freezing up on me for between 10 and 30 seconds. Mostly they run fine, but particularly GTA III freezes a lot. So I assumed that San Andreas would be worse because it is a far more sophisticated version of the GTA III engine.

I haven't seen any slowdowns or freezes with San Andreas.

As for Gameplay, yesterday I spent the day doing side missions. I did Paramedic Level 12, Collected all 100 Gang Spray-Tags and did the Drug selling Asset mission at Robois Convenience store. I got 100% Completion on the PS2 version of San Andreas a few months back. lol I LOVE GTA!!!

Well I didn't want to start a new thread about this topic so I fished around for this one.

So.....who here is playing San Andreas on their Dell (XPS Gen 2 or 9300)? Because man I am having a BLAST with this game! I just got 100% completion and I have been posting up in game videos (recorded on my XPS Gen 2 of course) in the San Andreas Forum I moderate over at Neoseeker.

Anyway it seems only fitting to talk about San Andreas in this forum, well to me at least anyway.

Oh and if ANYONE has any questions about the game (or GTA III and Vice City for that matter) ask me because I am definitely a GTA expert...lol yeah I know, big deal!
so, where do you get these 'demos', if not from the people who made the game?
Rockstar doesn't make demo's of their GTA games.

San Andreas runs very smoothly on my XPS Gen 2. Everything maxed out. I remember having something wrong with the night sky transition to day, as I could see the lines separating the different colours in the sky. Although I haven't played the game since I switched to the 77.30 drivers...
