Hello everyone,

I was wondering how long does it usually take for an order to be processed when buying a Sager notebook from PCTorque. I orderded mine the 25th of May, and the wire transfer (I live in europe) was posted the 1st of june.

Thank you for your answers.

EDIT: I emailed Luke, and my 9880 was sent on June, the 7th.

Didn't you have a 9860? Did you sell it? RMA it? Congrats on the new toy! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Heres hoping both of you get perfect screens!

Bananas for no dead pixels....

speaking of no dead pixels, I've never had a laptop with dead pixels. Can someone tell me the statistics of me getting a dead pixel(s)? Also I read that you can rub 'em out: are you just killing the pixel so it does not emit any light, or are you actually restoring it back to normal when you do that?

a single dead pixel is very small you probably wouldn't see it at all if you aren't looking for it. I have tried the trick where you rub them gently - only on display models at stores - and the pixel simply turned back "on" and worked. Of course this means I cant tell you if the fix lasts. I used "dead pixel buddy" to check my screen it fills the screen with solid colors so dead/stuck pixels will stand out more readily.

As far as chances of getting one go, there are millions of pixels on a hi-res lcd, so I would think chances are pretty good any given screen will have one or more, but it seems like a lot of people report getting screens with none, so I don't know. I can tell you that mine has none.
