hey i tried to put a usb wireless mouse on, but it doesn't seem to work? is there a way to disable the touchpad inorder to make the mouse work?

I just had to plug in my Microsoft Optical Wheelmouse and it worked fine. I then installed the mouse software (Intellipoint). That actually disabled the touch pad settings for me, so I had to reinstall the touchpad software.

this is wierd. dunno if this applies to you. i got a intellimouse 3.0 usb mouse and when i plugged it in "slowly" it didn't detect it at all on all of the ports. but when i just pushed it in "fast" it worked. i'm not lying... truly wierd.

Just bought the Logitech Mx1000 Lazer mouse yesterday, plugged in the USB base and worked like a charm. This is a really nice mouse.

YelloJello.. I've seen that slow/fast problem a few times before. Have never seen anyone explain it though.

EDIT: BTW there should be no reason to disable the touchpad.

I just plugged my microsoft mouse into the USB slot and it detected it just fine. I can use both the mouse and the touchpad at the same time. lol
