AMD m64 CPU Driver not updating

Anyone having trouble updating their CPU driver to the current v.1.2.2.2? Everytime I try installing it, it first uninstalls the current driver, then fails to install the new one. Sometimes it reverts to an early 2004 version, and sometimes only installs 1.2.2.0. I don't mind this version since it doesn't toggle the cpu, but sometimes I do want it to toggle to a less voltage.

I ran the .exe version, let it un-install the old, rebooted, found new hardware, canceled, ran the .exe version again and all is well.

Ya, I just ran the installer, let it remove the old one and then double clicked it again and let it install then gave it a reboot.

I tried that but it put the version back to 1.2.2.0.

Any other suggestions?

Also, Do I need to re-install the video drivers after the CPU update?

version 1.2.2.2 is for the 32-bit version of Windows - if you are running XP x64, you have to download the 1.2.2.1, which is further down the page.

Mine is doing the same thing.
I uninstalled the AMD CPU driver and verified it reverted to 1.0.0.0. I then ran a manual install by specifically selecting the .inf file, and now it shows 1.2.2.0 dated 2004. Yes, I downloaded the 32-bit version. Weird stuff. It might help if I hunted down and wiped out any .inf files left over from the last processor update, but I'm feeling lazy.

just checked mine, it says 1.2.2.0 after installing (which I did like a week ago).

it was 1.1.0.0 or something like that befrore, so it did update, but not to 1.2.2.2

Can anyone confirm any success in installing 1.2.2.2? Mine will only stick with 1.2.2.0. I don't mind it at 2.2GHz all the time on AC, as long as it goes to 800MHz on battery. I just want to try 1.2.2.2.

P.s., on the new 5.6 Cat Driver.. the initial test before the cat can install will say that the driver is not compatible with my laptop. Im getting frustrated that these latest drivers are not updating, even though I'm fine with my current setup.

The latest Catalyst Mobility driver is specifically marked for the X700 and X800 cards only. One of the other posts on this board had a link to something from ATi saying they will be opening the Mobility drivers up to other models in upcoming months.

I don't know what the deal is with this latest processor release, but the release notes on it read exactly like they did on the earlier update. I'm wondering if they didn't pull 1.2.2.2 for some reason and put 1.2.2.0 back in its place. I get the exact same driver version whether I use the automatic .exe or the manual .zip to install.
