ok so has anyone managed to get the new intel audio working in alsa. It started out that I couldn't even get the azx driver compiled but I found support for a hda-intel driver in the new alsa, that compiled fine, inserts fine, seems to work fine....
EXCEPT... no sound still everything looks like its working but the speakers do nothing. in xmms the bars bounce up and down and everything. Before someone says it, no alsamixer is not muted, and volume is all the way up. My only guess at this point is that something is up with my Sager 3880's keyboard sound controls or something. Anybody have any suggestions of a way I can troubleshoot this not having sound is driving me nuts.
