For the TV audio in for some reason only one speaker plays...could it be the fact that only one audio (L or R) is plugged in. If that's the case is there a way I can buy a splitter that will split convert the 1/4 inch to an 1/8 inch socket?

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

By tv audio in what do you mean? On the 8886 there's a coaxial cable input which brings in audio and video signals together... If you have that plugged in, you should be getting all of the audio and video, both speakers. If you're using s-video in and audio line in, then you'll need to get the stereo audio cable to a mono connection with a Y cable (two inputs to one output). I don't know where you're bring a 1/4 inch socket from, though... are you using a headphone out or something on your tv? I'd need more info about what you are doing exactly to be able to offer sound advice (no pun intended). Let me know!
