Hello - I saw the new Turion Acer, and I would like to ask if you have any
more specifications for it. If not, then I understand, it is not even on the
Acer Canada site!

Thank You
Not to make PN sound bad or anything, they just need better customer service..

Besides that, their price and range is great.

it looks like NCIX is gearing up to be offering it soon... and they have nice options to configure your notebook and have it shipped built (the only company I've seen like this in Canada)

Damn it I want it to available so I can pick it up as soon as those centrino drops kick in!!

the z70v is also the M6V? (according to some review)
however the M6V has a radeon x700, and it's only available in australia...?

Hey guys - I'm from Alberta and am getting a z70v barebone special-ordered in for $1021. It is supposed to be available to the store about June 21. They're called BCom computers.

aha
although it seems expensive, looks more like being on par with the W1refresh -tuner

I am from edmonton area. The website for the store is http://www.bcom.ab.ca... I believe the barebone does come with an optical drive, although I am not sure whether it is just a combo or a DVDRW.

It looks like the z70v should only be a tad($40-$80) more then the z71v which is great.

Considering a z71v speced at 1.6, 512, 60/5.4k is about 1599, a z70v should be less the 1600. Without taxes of course..

I'll vouch for BCom as a fairly good company. I'll admit that it was my first laptop purchase, though, and that I haven't had tech issues (although it seems that I got a mediocre GPU, compared to most, as mine couldn't even handle the stock memory clock. Not big enough that I felt it warranted sending it in.)

I also SEEM to remember the Z70k being available when I dropped in, but I may just be thinking of the Z71a.

you got it. Asus likes to make lots of subtle variants of their computers and sell them to different markets. The Z71v is also known as the M7v.
