So, well, this really sucks. Still at phase 3 as well. Not cool. They just recently offered the 6800 ultra. One would think that they would have ordered many of them, since it would undoubtedly be a hot item.
Same with the screens, which I would also imagine to be fairly hot items. I've not seen anyone in these forums who hasn't gone with the better of the two screens.
I know it will be great once I get it(or, rather, AW had better hope it is), but this is actually a really crap way to do business. I know, it's custom, boutique style. Well, you know, it really isn't all that custom. It's not as if they are having my name etched into the case, or having it painted with the chameleon paint. No, rather, it's a standard case, no color option even available, and every other part is standard.
A quick question to those of you who have done the financing thing. Did you get a bill before you got your pc? I swear to god, if I get a bill for this thing before I receive it, BBB's gonna tear these guys up hardcore. Yes, it is legal to pre-charge a credit card on high priced items to make sure the money is there. It is another thing altogether to send a financing bill out for an item that isn't prepped for shipping.
I know, a long, whiney post. But give me a break, I didn't need to know that this was going to take even longer than originally expected, and I wish someone would have told me a bit earlier than this as well, as I cannot imagine that they didn't notice they were getting low on laptop screens and video cards. I don't know, I just can't imagine missing something so obvious as that.
Rant/Bitch session over. I now return you to your regularly scheduled non-whiney program.
I just ran out to get some cigarettes, so I've calmed down quite a bit. The gum just wasn't doing it's job.
