i6000 vs. i9300 screen

Has anyone seen an i6000 screen next to a i9300 screen. While I love my i9300, I can't get over the poor viewing angles on my screen. Only the screen space immediately in front of me seems bright - the rest seems to get dark. If I shift my head to the right or left, the nice brightness follows me. I don't want to have to shift my head back and forth just to use the whole screen.

Anyway, I'm wondering if the i6000 has a better screen.

you have to specify which screen you want to compare, wxga, wxga+, wuxga. What screen do you have on your 9300?
and the ans is probably, not

Why does Dell have such a problem with their screens????

Better question: why aren't they doing something about it?

I have the i9300 (and are about to return it) with WXGA (1440x900). I think the i6000 has a 1280x800 or something like that. How does that look. In particular, does it suffer from any of the "sparkles" or poor viewing angle issues that the i9300's screen has?

The 1280x800 (WXGA) on the 6000 is not very good. It just looks kinda "blah" (hard to explain) and the viewing angles are AWFUL.

Actually, I was considering getting the 9300 with the WXGA+ screen since that one is UltraSharp. But if you don't like it, perhaps I should reconsider. By the way, what don't you like about the 9300 screen?

I don't think I have heard any complaints about Dell 9200 / 9300 screens on this forum. Maybe do a search or two. I'm sure if you dig deep enough, you'll eventually discover a few complaints. Just a few ...

Well, I had the Inspiron 9300 (1440x900) for about 4 days. Couldn't stand the poor viewing angles and especially the "Sparkles".

My Inspiron 6000 (1280x800) has no problems with sparkling.
Viewing angles are a bit better compared to the i9300. The sides on the i6000 don't get as dark as the i9300 did.
Plus... since the display is smaller you don't have to move your head right/left to read the screen. At least not me

All i hear is complaining about it lol, but then again the only people that come to post about the screen are the ones with bad ones.

I'll have my WXGA I6000 on Monday, and I'll try to remember to post about my thoughts on the LCD. I'm coming from a CL56, so I fully expect the viewing angles to be better. The vertical viewing angle on the CL56 is horrendous.

Really? Hmmm.... Based on the stats, the viewing angle on the 9300 WXGA should be pretty good. Look here:

Are you sure the problem is bad viewing angles and not something else??

By the way, if you wanna see bad viewing angles, look at the WXGA on the 6000:
