Want to replace two systems w/one

Good evening, can anyone give me some guidance. I am currently working on a desktop as well as a laptop. I would like to eliminate the issue of having to remember to move my files back and forth by getting a laptop that I can just dock when I am home. I use my systems for my business in which I use a lot of spreadsheets, documents, etc. I do very little gaming but would like a system which I can watch DVD's when I am traveling, which is daily so good battery life is also important.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Sony A Series? They look awsome and have a big beautiful screen. Although they are overpriced and CS is somewhat lacking.

look into fujitsu 15 or 17 inchers... amazing screens

I would prefer nothing larger than a 15" screen, for weight and transport reasons.

The Acer looks interesting!!
