Do GHz Matter?

I am now looking at a 9880, I am a heavy gamer but from everything I know the difference between a 3 GHz P4 and a 3.6 GHz p4 really wont matter a WHOLE lot when gaming, 3 GHz seems enough to do almost anything on a laptop, paired with a 6800 ultra should be able to dang near anything I throw at it. Or is my knowledge flawed?

(i am going with the EMT64 as well)

Any thing I should know?

No your knowledge isnt flawed, the only way you would notice the difference (and it wouldnt be much) would be two have two identical computers (except the cpu speed) side by side....

EMT64 is worthless in a laptop since the hardware limits you to 2GB anyways.

I suggest something with a pentium m
