burning dvds

hey guys. me again. ive got nero 6 now and i have to say its such a good package. i made my first dvd with menus titles and all that and im pretty happy with myself.
But i still have sum problems. u see, theres this series that i have on dvd-9 which i really like. So i ripped them all onto my hard drive. On the dvd-9, they are roughly around 9gb and consist of about 5 hrs of movies. onced ive ripped these onto my hard drive, they are about 4.4gb and of cos still with the 5hrs of movies. But wen i use the nerovison express 2, theres a screen where u drag and drop movies from ur hard drive onto the disc. I was thinking that i will have no problem since its 4.4gb and the dvd is 4.7gb, so it should be fine. But wen i dragged the first movie from my hard drive (which is roughly 1gb) onto the screen, it was about 2gb instead. i didnt get why but then i realised it might have something to do with the duration of the movie instead of the size. COs the duration of the movie is about 1hr, and the dvd says that it can hold 4.7gb or 120mins. So what can i do so that it takes account of the size and not the duration?? i hope u guys understand. its so hard to explain. especially wen i dnt exactly know whats happening. thanx

You can use DVD Shrink to make the file smaller, and have it automatically use Nero Burning Rom to create a DVD for you. That's how I've been burning them lately.
