absolutely runs perfect on high settings!

you just have to instal the video drivers that are spplied on the Demo version of BF2 or else you will get wierd shadow problems in the game. make sure you extract the 77.30 drivers (for invidia) and replace the .inf file with the one that sager supplies and it will work.

yeah it runs silk smooth..as far as the drivers go, i dint have to do any tinkering with the drivers. The game fired up without any shadow issues. I am using catalyst 5.6.

the only thing you will really need to play this game on high settings will be 2 gigs of ram

i was just playing the NBF server and i think the server crashed because it kicked me out of the game. the same thing happened to my lan buddy that was next to me.

i have 1 gig of ram.

my ram usage will hit 1.06gig of ram when the game is running with a few small programs running in the background.

Yeah it took more than 900 mb of ram when i pushed bf2 to maximum settings both in sound and video..I guess thats expected of newer games.

I have the shdaow problem and when i go to download the drivers they give with the beta it gives me an message saying that there is nothing that fits my hardware configuration. I am running the nvidia geforce go 6800 ultra with 2 gigs ram in my 9880. Anyone know where to get drivers for my card that will work ? Tried nividias site and still get that message.

i can email you the .inf file that i am using which will work. just let the game extract the files onto its default directory and let it run, which it will fail. thats ok, as long as you know where the files were extracted to and you can simple replace the .inf file with the version i can email you. it's like 40kb or so.

oh, and, right now, i am playing a 64 player server with no time limit on the map, and have been playing for a few hours, and task manager says i am using 1.36gig of ram!!!!!

i purchased the Logitech pc gaming headset but can't get the mic to work. When I installed BF2 and went into the mic setup, I got nothing and of course the setup failed. I don't believe the 9860 mic is working either.

Has anyone got their 9860 mic or an external one to work? I have all the Windows mic settings on (I think) and the volume all the way up.

No, BF2 is not out yet, it comes out the 21st. The demo came out yesterday however.

Not following you regarding "mess around with soundman." What is soundman and where would I find it?

can I ask you what type of internet connection do you have? I am afraid that my DSL will be the bottleneck.
