Well it finally came and boy is it amazing.I want to start of with the goods and then the bads also i will have pictures coming.

Good:
the screen
speed
graphics

Bad:
the keyboard

This thing is amazing i love it exept i really dont like the keyboard and all i am not complaining i have seen worse, but i hate how i am typing and it sinks down in certain areas but i know i will get use to it if it gets worse then i return it which i dont think i will.

The screen:really good i only have one dead pixel al the way at the very edge of the screen you cant even see it.I really like the angles on the uxga screen cant wait to watch a movie. Also i had no trouble with reading on this screen and i am use to 800 by 600.

ah crap got work to do ill ad more in a little bit like a half an hour.

EDITk i have gotten use to the keyboard so now i 100percent love this thing.I was just playing grand theft auto at 1600by1200 boy was it nice.

I got a 2.8ghz and hyper threading already came enabled so that was nice.

The whole laptop is sturdy and to me isn't that big i was surprised. This thing is definatly a desktop replacement so dont exspect to take it to the park for a couple of hours but it surves it purpose greatly for me.I'll have the pics very soon i lost my compack flash reader so that makes my digital camera useless lol.

On the 8890's it is F9 (dim) F10 (bright) - don't know if it is the same on the 56xx series.

You can also adjust brightness, gamma, contrast via the ATI colour control panel. Go to control panel -> display -> settings tab -> advanced button -> color tab

Glad to hear you finally have your baby. Enjoy.
