8886 screen toshiba satellite screen

Hey everyone, I just had a LAN party yesterday, and a friend brought his toshiba satellite laptop over. We played Day of Defeat (if anyone cares) and my 8886 dominated the toshiba. There is one thing though, the satellite had a much better LCD panel. I was slightly confused. It had much better contrast, brightness, and viewing angles. Is it possible that I had some bad settings? OR is there actually a weakness of the monster (the 8886)? If anyone knows of a setting or anything, let me know. Thanks.

I think its the actual screen, From what I've read, it isn't bad, but it pales in comparison to something like a Dell Ultrasharp.

This is one of the few reasons I ever consider buying a dell vs a sager, the other on being a docking station, the back of my ibm thinkpad would look a lot nicer if I had a docking station, and wasn't constantly scratching it up with those pesky connectors.

you cant compare the 8886 screen to the dell ultrasharp, because its not even UXGA... Wait and see how the 8887 compares.
