How to secure wipe a 9880? - Page 2

a low level format will resolve all your worries...

low level format will erase everything and will rewrite sectors and clusters, write zeros in each clusters. The result is a blank hdd like out of the factory. Data gathering is not possible after a low format.

To be blunt, no you are wrong and please do not pass misinformation to people. A low level format does not ensure a "blank hdd like out of the factory". Due to the physical characteristics of how hard drives work residual information is available and your entire hard drive with all data intact can be recovered after a low level format.
