Has anyone tried to replace Toshiba SD-R6012 in Fujitsu C2220?

My Toshiba SD-R6012 in Fujitsu C2220 notebook doesn't read dvd discs anymore. So I thought about replace the burner with something better. I asked at the Fujitsu support if there's a list of burners I can use replacing my old one but they told me that I cannot replace it with an other burner, only external ones.

Has anyone tried to replace it?

Any sugestions?

I recommend buying one from newegg.com & if you get one that was kind of like your old one it should be ok... If not newegg will take it back...
