First I must say this is absolutely fast enough for my Cable Modem Boradband connection. I tried a 801.11G PCMCIA card and there was no difference in performance.
OK, I initially had some fun here until I figured things out. First of all I live in a condo complex and my internal Mini USB can see 4 other connections within range. Some people are smart enough to rename the IDs but most are not so they mostly say "linksys" or "MSHOME" As most people also use the default channel 6 the first thing is to choose another channel. Second choose 128bit WEP authentication without IEEE 802.1x authentication. It works fine. It is hopeless on 64 bit or no authentication.
Anyone else had this fun...?
