Also, I'm not sure whether WUXGA is ideal for games.
I'd use my notebook for games, surfing, typing, editing digital pictures et cetera. So those of you who have notebooks like Dell I9300, Dell XPS Gen2, Alienware, Sager and so on. Give me your opinion. Should I just go ahead and get the WUXGA notebook or should I go with WXGA+?

John - My Opinion would be for you to get the UXGA screen. You can fix the text problem quite easily...... by changing the DPI under display settings from 96 dpi to 120 and making a few other tweaks.
This has fixed the size problem for me on three different lappies very nicely, the text is quite readable in every program and on the desktop, icons and text look great. At the same time you change the dpi choose "use large icons" and enlarge the ICON text and ALL the other profileable Text sizes that are currently set at 8 pt. to 10 pt. and the ones set at 10 pt. to 12 pt. (with the Display Properties "appearance tab". And then turn on ClearType. Make these changes and the 1920 x 1200 screen looks great, all around.
There is so much MORE you can fit on the screen with 1920 x 1200........ Two Document pages fit really nicely BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT thing for me is what the WUXGA does for my high resolution digital pictures !!!!!!! It makes them look so nice....... having a higer resolution packes more pixels (and thus more dertail) on your screen and nowhere is it more apparent than with digital pictures..... I have a Nikon D1X and a Sony DSCF828 and the 2 to 3 meg .jpg pics look so wonderful on the high res lCD.

Good Luck, whatever you choose....
