So u'll feel the heat in the chasis more and definately it won't be nice if u get some electrical current running "by mistake' in the metal.
Well obviously, the materials used in the next generation of laptops will be metal AND be constructed well enough to not have those problems. I mean does anybody really think that the same kinds of plastics we use today for laptops will be used after 2010 or so? Heck no, there will be a cheaper, lighter and stronger new synthetic material, if not metal, something new we havent mass produced yet.
As for the guy that says people complain about heavy laptops...come on dude. The introduction of Centrino laptops and such should tell you that laptops will only get lighter and lighter as technology progresses. Besides, I wouldnt care if my Inspiron was made of aluminum alloy, because I'd enjoy the extra sturdiness.
