closing the lid?

anyway to be able to close the lid but still be connected to a wireless network so i can download over night on the 9880? everytime i close the lid im disconnected ><

I believe the settings are in the "power" config, in the "advanced" tab.

I don't know how good it is to close the lid fully. I did it on a laptop years ago and when I opened the thing half and hour later it was extreamly hot. I don't know how it still worked. But then maybe that doesn't happen these days.

yea im noticing that also, i guess we should not close it and leave it on, esp. with the super hot left top

Yeah I used to do that all the time on my old laptop until the screen went out. I'm not taking that chance with my 9860.

i hear that. I treat the screen like i treat my psp.

I am looking into getting a brando lcd cover if its available.

What i do is go into power settings and set turn off monitor after 3 hour of inactive

the inactive only apply to keyboard and mouse. so the downloads and programs will keep running but the screen will be turned off. move the mouse or press a key turns it back on.
