I agree. The WXGA screen is the resolution that I wanted, which is why I bought it rather than the WSXGA. I wish I'd bought the WSXGA and just increased the DPI and lived with the things that don't look right when you do that. I was in the EXACT
same boat. And I ended up spending a little more to get the WSGA+. But for me
(I emphasize "for me" so I don't piss anyone off) I think it's worth the extra money to have a screen I'll truly be happy with. I use my computer every single day
... I simply cannot be unhappy with the screen.
If you are
leaning towards sending it back, make sure you call in the return before the time is up. I'm confident that more deals will come up before long.
By the way, I really wish Dell would realize this problem and increase the quality of the WXGA screens. THAT is really the best solution here. They've gotta be losing money from all of these WXGA returns.
