Some questions about the sentia

Thread Starter
hi, I am interested in purchasing a sentia, however, I have some questions...

1) Will the sentia be able to play counterstrike 1.6? or even halflife2/ doom3?

2)approximately how long does it take for alienware to ship the laptop to me? I live in canada btw.

3)Will there be additional fee when the laptop is going through the canadian boarder?

Thanks for your help! I hope everything works out. I don't want to settle for a dell

1. The sentia isnt really a gaming laptop, it will run the games but the onboard graphics mean they arent really playable even on the lowest settings especially games such as D3 and HL2. If you want a gaming laptop go for the area 51 you will be much happier.

2. It depends on your parts, if they get backordered then its hard to say, sometimes it can take about a week to get dispatched somtimes over a month, it really depends on what you order.

3. sorry i dont know maybe someone else will know.

hope this helps. good luck with whatever you decide to buy

Amazingly, it will play HL2 on lower settings. There are threads in this forum about that.

It takes about a month to have a system shipped to Canada, FedEx takes about 5-8 days to ship a system from Miami to Canada depending on the area where you live.

Alienware has a Canadian section on their website which will show you the price of your system in Canadian dollars and the shopping cart will calculate all the border fees to send your system there so you don't have to pay anything else. FedEx will just deliver the system to your home.
