9880 cheaper now???

Thread Starter
I just checked Sager's site since the rebate was supposed to expire. I configured my 9880 that I got last week, and now it's $40 cheaper! What's up with that. Is there any way I can get a price difference back?

Configured 1/6, the specs were 3442$ and then a week after it became 3482$ (348x$) and now it is still 3482$, but wait a second, it now says a 300$ rebate and a price starting at 2195$(from 2495$) instead of last week's 2095$ ???! and i still get 3482$.

Before it was 500$ and base price 2095$(from 2595), so why the ptice playing but still the same price? :S:S
Edit: Sager also has this happening, just been to their website.

I just rebuilt and it was $200 more expensive now, so it worked out for me just right.

Yes, it's unfortunate but you can never look back in the tech industry, not even a few minutes.

Just make decision and then stay as ignorant as possible for as long as possible....that's my method... but I still get envy.

You didn't think Sager would lose anything on those $500 rebates, did you?

Reminds me of how some retailers market their stuff. They offer a 20% off sale but jack up the price 25% a week or more before the sale starts.

Makes me even more happy I haven't ordered my 9880 yet.

I just reconfigured mine, and the total price would be the same without the $300 discount.
