Questions for Dell 9300

I ordered my Inspiron 9300 yesterday, but I'm now worried about a couple things. First off, I got the upgrade to the UXGA screen and I hear that whites appear to be grey, and there is a reflection problem. Is this still true for that screen or did Dell fix that? Also, I noticed the XPS gen 2 notebook uses the same screen, so do people with that computer notice wierd display issues?

Also, I got the geforce go 6800, but does anyone know which geforce 6800 it is? What are its clock speeds and what type of memmory is it? GDDR3/DDR or what?

Thank you for the help!

You probabaly should have asked this in the DELL section im sure someone will move it there.

1. "I got the upgrade to the UXGA screen and I hear that whites appear to be grey, and there is a reflection problem" cant explain the greyness but the reflection due to a glossy coating which has been applied to all 9300/XPS2 notebooks as a feature compared to the matte surface your used to seeing on older notebooks.

2. "Also, I got the geforce go 6800, but does anyone know which geforce 6800 it is? What are its clock speeds and what type of memmory is it? GDDR3/DDR or what?
" You have the 6800 Go where as the XPS2 has the 6800 Ultra Go the main difference? well clockspeed, type of ram and a bigger heatsink but beyond that its nearly the same card.

You would be better off asking this in the 9300/XPS2 forum.

UXGA screen is glossy, it has the same reflectiveness as any other glossy screen. The screen quality varies greatly, but the main problem is the antiglare coating on the screen, which makes the screen look like there's a coating on top of it. For the LG, it looks like layer of metallic dust, and for the Samsung it's more like a patterned sheen on top of the screen. The Samsung coating is less noticable but the screens are far more prone to light leakage.

Stock clock on the 6800 is 290/590.
