Desktop icons

I installed a WOW theme, decided I didn't like it and uninstalled. Now all my desktop icons are overlapping. The auto arrange and align to grid options dont fix them. Anyone know how to reset the desktop? Note: Dont install the WOW theme if anyone is thinking about it.

Looks like I'm going to have to. I just reformatted too and the last restore point is 7am this morning. Going to lose a bunch of stuff I just reinstalled.

You should have done a system restore before you formated that was a bit drastic, never mind you done it now.
Doing a system restore wont help you now as you must have done a complete re-install after you formated it, ye a clean you will also have a clean desktop now so problem solved.

No I did reformat before my desktop was messed up. I was having windows issues. There was no way I could of done a system restore before reformatting and my desktop wasn't messed up then. It was AFTER reformatting/reinstalling that i decided to install a WOW theme also

I know that it may be too late, but have you checked to see if active desktop is on? If so, try setting your desktop to no background image and then turn off active desktop. Once you do this, then try the re-alignment options and see what happens.

I have seen some fishy things when active desktop is in place. Just a thought. It can't hurt since you are planning on doing a restore anyways.

Good luck.
