how many processes are you running?

had my i6000d for 2 mos. now and initially had 68 processes (mostly useless junk preloaded by dell) running at the background.. well, after doing a clean install last month, and a couple of games and softwares added ,i'm down to 50 ... notebook is now lightning fast whooohooo...so, just wondering, how many processes are you running?

ive got about 48..didn't do a fresh install, just use the control panel add/remove programs function and works just great

I've got 40, but that includes SpeedSwitchXP, ATITool, I8KFANGUI, etc. that is always running. Then again I did a fresh install, so mine runs super-fast at the moment.

I can get it down to 30 if I need to still keeping norton and zone alarm running, but normal after boot with msn, yahoo, skype printer drivers etc etc around 50.

I don't have an i6000, but I'm running about 54 processes right now on 512MB RAM. 4 of these processes are svchost.exe. Is that strange?

Dang. You guys have fast computers. I have about 35 processes running after disabling everything, and my computer is still slow. Of course, it is from 5 years ago, and now the computers are like 3-4 times faster. Oh well.

30?...dang...here's another question for everyone... my i5100, with the same programs/software and games (less internal wireless card, bluetooth, and nero 6 ultra,) with a clean install gave me 32.. is there any special reason why my i6000d is running 50's ? i don't think 3 extra items constitutes the 20 extra processes running?...unless i'm wrong and ? oh, and there's no way for me anymore to compare/check the processes between the two since i have given away my i5100...

im running a constant 26, that is after a clean reformat and reinstalling all my programs i need and want...not too shabby i think, i also use tuneup utilities 2004 to keep my system in check, awesome little program if any one is interested.. wouldnt own a computer without it..

I wipe out everything, recover the hidden 47 mb that Dell hides and I got 30 processes running.

26 no more no less!!
38 base. Was 65 with norton. No reformat, just a run through of things that need to be taken out.

I haven't formatted in a few months (saving that for this week when my 80Gb HDD arives!) and I have 57 processes on 1024Mb RAM.That includes NIS, MSN, Firefox, Centrino Hardware Control, GMail Notifier, Quickset, BT, and Activesync.

Looking forward to reloading it though. My Virtual PCs run faster!
