Hello All,
I currently have what I call my 'MagicBox'. It's a HP Vectra VLi8 with a 60 GB primary and 120GB backup HD. I've almost maxed out (384 MB) the amount of RAM I have available to drop into it (512 MB), but I'm worried that if I try to start running Valve's Source // Plan of Attack dedicated servers from it for my online team (through a Linksys router and a cable modem connection), that it wouldn't be able to handle the load, hardware wise.

I was wondering what the desktop community of the NBForums would recommend for me; I've been majorly using the 120GB as my 'top secret' space for keeping junk, but it's slowly filling up. I purcahsed a enclosure case for a 3.5 HD for $35 and figured I'd drop a 150+ GB HD in it and use it as a secondary HD for either my laptop or a backup for the backup if I decide to upgrade.

All I know is that the box I have now is my lil buddy, and I don't want to lose anything on either HD.

I'm looking for a 3.x P4 box with a mobo that carries at least 2 GB worth o' RAM. Nothing fancy about the video card (yet) and no big surprises. I'm thinking of a box that can process like a sonofabitch without dropping more than $750.

My knowledge of building a computer is average at best (bigger numbers, faster stuff, bigger price ), so be gentle.

Any suggestions?
