I turn it on, I get the LED displays on, but the screen doesnt go on at all. There is no disc activity, nothing at all. No beeps. Just fan activity and the LED's go on.

I tried replacing my CPU but that didnt help.

I think Im gonna have to ship it back to Sager.

Can anyone please tell me how I do that? I mean, I send it to sager, do I include anything else? How will they know its mine, or whom to call to ask what needs to be done to it etc....

I think the mobo is fried.

I have another problem, my serial number on the back seems to have melted off.

This is urgent, thanks for your help.

I would imagine you would have to call Sager & get an RMA # before you send it back.

Hmm I've just been reading about the Cat 3.8's overheating vid cards and burning monitors. Could that be what happened to me?

You need to call SAGER and get a RMA. I don't know what they will say about the SN being gone. I think I answered this in another thread but if you have the original paperwork, shipping manifest, receipts, et all and et cet, you may be able to find it among all that. Should be able to.

If not, how did you pay? If by check, find the check and get a photocopy. That will establish that you bought it and when, which will help someone track down any usable records.

Who's the reseller? They may have records of the SN or at least will be able to track the sale with SAGER who would have some kind of record of who they sent it to.

In any case, prepare to start spending a lot of time on the phone and writing letters.

As I noted elsewhere, its important to write down your SN and other info in your Owner's Manual and maybe in a third location as well. Keep all your paperwork. I mean, this is like $3K so it should be treated like $3K.

Sorry for your pain, hope it all works out.

I had the exact same problem. Unfortunately, in all probability, it means your mobo is fried. Whether it's because of the vid card is anyone's guess...
Anyway yeah, it's RMA and back to Sager...
Good luck
