Chameleon paint pics while on the rack

Here's the pics to show you the color change. We're using House of Color which takes 3 coats not including the prep and clear. Using the proper paint and clear coat is very expensive and actually much more than we're currently charging so the price will be going up very soon.

The below one is showing the sparkle from the flash.

The color pictured here is Cyan/Purple. This is an 8890 and the texture of the 8890 lid is actually rough which is why it's not a smooth glass looking finish like the 5680.

holy crap nice looking paint job adam thanks for the pics!

That is nice!

The funny thing is, I'm going to be ordering the Cyan/Purple, so this is very convenient for me that the photos you took just happen to be of the color I want.

Thanks so much for the photos!

I cannot wait. Just a week or so more for me and my order is in. Thanks PC Torque! You guys rock

Can't wait.....Can't wait!!! (jumping up and down like a kid in a candy store).

Holding off for another week or so until I order a 8890v in Red/Gold Chameleon, although the Cyan/Purple in the pic looks pretty nice.....decisions decisions.

Nice color. Any chance we'll see pictures of any of the 5680s? Not to seem impatient, but have you started to ship the chassis back to Sager yet?

I got a message this morning from Tom at PCTorque that:

1) PCTorque was scheduled to pick up the first batch of painted shells today and are planning shipping them to Sager next-day-air. Judging by Adam's post this afternoon, they did get at least one shell completed.

2) Apparently they don't (or didn't as of this morning) know exactly which/how many shells were done, so Tom couldn't tell me if my shell was finished.

3) Adam alluded to the paint jobs costing a lot more than PCTorque is currently charging. Tom's email said the price increase will be "about $200".

Any rough estimate on how long it'll take after it is shipped to Sager?
Its good to know that things are moving along. I'll keep my fingers crossed that mine's done. Anyone have an idea what the turn around time will be once Sager gets ahold of them?

Wow, an excellent job by everyone at PC Torque
Those paint jobs look amazing, and it's certainly understandable about the price increase. Thanks for all the hard work and excellent customer service during this first round of paintjobs.
Will the cost for all the paint jobs go up, or just the price for the color change paint?
Hmm, Adam I did not know You guys were using HOK for your paint. Since you are, shouldn't you be calling it Kameleon Kolor instead of Chameleon?

I had been thinking about getting a set of red-gold stripes on my car, but that paint is so expensive..
When is the price gonna be jacked up?

I am going to be ordering my new laptop tomorrow so hopefully ig et the cheaper price!? :S

As well how well does the paint stick? If i were to scratch it would it ocme off? Because if it will i really dont wanna pay a whole bunch of money for that, is it like on a car wher ei can scratch til my hearts content??

merry xmas

Man that photo looks really cool. I tell ya, these machines used to be the beauty and the beast...well more beast and beast coz sagers are ugly looking comps. I'm glad I opted for the paint job back then. But that chameleon is dope!

Will the 4760/80 be able to be painted? If so, what colors does it come in?

It does show many more than 2 colors in the paintjob. I took 3 different angle shots showing 3 clearly different colors:

and in person it shows much more.

The 4780 may be offered with paint. We're working on it, but it may be after the initial release because we have to stock the parts to paint.
