Maybe the trend is coming... x700 in 14.1's.. how bout 6800ultra in 15.4's? =)
i'll luv seeing top of the line mobile processors fitting in 15.4's in the coming generation of notebooks..

That Acer is a KILLER. A 5.2 pound laptop paired with a 14.1 inch screen that has an X700. Absolute killer machine. Definately the fastest laptop in it's class.

Makes me wish I waited....

Olli3, just wanna say that the weight for the rockdirect is in kilograms - converted, it's 9.5 pounds.

kinda hard to keep the heat down.. it will probally have less battery life than the w3v ... cuz the x700.. but then.. it mite be all worth it

that rockdirect with the x800 is just a rebranded sager 7620

yeah thats what I was thinking, and the 7620 comes with option of having an LCD on the front. Too heavy though

That may be true, but it is a 14 inch widescreen vs 15 inch widescreen, which means more portability.
