Yup... need advice on what to buy for college

I need to get a new laptop to take to college, and I want it to be a desktop replacement that I can take to classes.

At first I was going to go with the Dell Inspiron 9300, which my friend has and is RIDICULOUSLY nice. However, it is pretty huge. I saw another friends Inspiron 6000 and almost decided to get it, but the x300 graphics card it comes with might not suit my gaming needs.

Then I found out about the Latitude 810, which is basically the I6000 but can be customized to have an x600.

Now I am about to order this, but I'm having a tough time deciding. I feel like as soon as I order it, they will come out with better mid-range video cards. The x600 came out a year ago, afterall. Does anyone know when new cards are coming out? Any other recomendations?

I've also heard that the Sager 3880 might suit my needs better than a Dell, but I don't know about the warranty/price/quality of a Sager.

Hmm... I've been reading and the Asus Z71v seems like a solid choice.

How is the warranty with Asus? (I really want 3 years parts and accidental damage coverage).

Well, the nVidia GeForce 7800 has supposedly been released. They should be releasing the mobile version of the graphics card in about half a year or so. It'll only be a little bit of time before they release the mid-range video card based on that platform. So, take it for what it is. New technology will keep coming out quickly. The 6600 will last a tad longer than the x600 in keeping up with games.
