Tech support

Hi, Anybody have any comments on IBM tech support? I`m seriously lacking in computer expertise and good tech support is a major factor in deciding on a laptop.

yes!!! something I can really comment about....

ok heres my dillema, I used my mini wireless card away from home at a hotel, and thought that it wouldnt be a very big deal...Well I got home and everything I tried failed...so I called IBM support. Keep in mind that this is a Sunday night around 8 o clock....so I called the great IBM support line. First thing I noticed was it was the correct numbers to get to the right support line, which is not always right believe it or not...

So anyhow I get straight through, wait on hold for like 30 seconds and a male AMERICAN voice picks up...he helps me out, and I gotta reboot the system so while its reloading and doing stuff we start talking and he talks about the Atlanta weather...wait just a second....Im located in Atlanta! I talk about how the weather has been crazy, and when the computer boots back up its working great.....just like new, and we get to hang up, GREAT SERVICE in short, with people you can understand!!!

Thanks for the response, for me understanable tech support is a major factor in deciding on a laptop manufacturer.

no problem....I think you will find IBM has the best customer support you will find!!!
