Self Help: Cleaning heatsink

14My Ferrari 3000 is overheating and shutting off suddenly. I have been using a cooling pad, however the problem remains... Acer Support wants me to send the laptop in for service but this is not something I want to do as I know I wont get my laptop for at least two weeks (its happened before) From reading the forums it sounds like it is a common problem and the solution from the members has been to open up the laptop and give it a good cleaning (the heatsink in particular.)
I would like to do this myself as it seems it is something that will recur with this laptop. Yes the internal fans work and the Tech I spoke with for my last repair (new board..)mentioned that it was clogged up with lint dog hair etc etc. Yeah I use it at home...
Acer wont give me the instructions to do this maintanace for some reason.
Can anybody help me with the proper way to disassemble the 3000 without causing any warranty problems down the road?
Many thanks if you can.
