Found Something!!!

Ok. To all the GURU's out there...(you know who you are), I am trouble shooting my computer problems. I have installed the Nvidia 77.30 drivers from www.guru3d.com along with the modified inf from the 76.50 drivers at www.laptopvideo2go.com. After installation, I check the driver and it says 76.50. But I installed the 77.30. The 76.50 drivers simply did not work for me and that is why I didn't use them. Is there an inf available specifically for the 77.30 drivers or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Check thru the forums on laptopvideo2go for the inf, sounds like something is a bit screwed up when you installed the drivers

when you extract the 77.30 drivers to a directory and replace the inf file with the modified one, un-instal your current nvidia drivers, reboot the machine and then insal the 77.30 drivers. then reboot again and you should be good to go.

or just rename the driver # in the nv4_disp file..... at least i think u can..

exactly. using a moded inf on a newer driver means u gotta update the inf. simple 1+1 math applied to life tells u in problem solving that:

a) got a new driver
B) got an older inf
c) after install it shows the older number
ur investigating should point to B to look at the inf where u will find u need to change the driver # in it. simple.
