keyboard buttons popping off?

anyone else ever have this happen on the dell keyboard? I have the 9300 and it happened a couple times. It scared me the first time but then i realized it just snaps back on. That would be bad if you actually lost the button when it popped off.

They shouldn't come off easily .. Is it always the same key? If so you might be able to get the keyboard replaced under warranty .. If its a lot of different keys I'd ask how are you typing thats causing them to pop off

Yeah, when typing my finger gets ever so slightly under the edge, because they're not deep enough, and sometimes it catches and pops it off. Really annoying. Hopefully I'll get used to it and just type a little bit forward on the keys or something.

I've never had them pop off when using the keyboard, but I left my XPS2 unattended for 1 minute the other day and my 2 year old managed to pop off 3 of my keys! Good thing they are easy to snap back on!

My "K" key always pops off on me. Something about my typing style always causes my finger to get under it whenever I hit the "M" or "," keys. Annoying to say the least. Does pop right back on though but I would imagine that it will eventually break.

My "C" key was an unfortunate casualty of a fingernail getting caught underneath it due to a poorly executed take-off from the space bar. The little white plastic clip that held it in place cracked a little so that when I snapped it back on it would just pop off again.

I called Dell that night at 10 pm. I had a replacement in just over 12 hours. They even arranged for DHL to pick-up the damaged keyboard from my front door.

Havn't had any issues with the replacement keyboard. It took a couple days to get used to the "new" feel of the keys (old one was a little worn) but otherwise no difference.

i figured that it wasnt just my keyboard with the problem because my friend had the same problem as me. i guess its just due to my poor typing skills. It was funny cause his "4" key came popped up like a foot off of his keyboard when he was typing
