Thanks. It actualy did get out of Japan a couple hours ago (it's stange to see it listed as 1am tomorrow!, but I know they're 13 hrs ahead). I just wonder where it's headed to next. Hopefully straight to the good-ole USA!

And you're right, it's driving me nuts waiting!

Woohoo! Made it into the US!

It's so crazy to see the times on the FedEx site, because the times listed are in the timezone of the location (wheras I'm on Eastern time). So it actually looks like it went from Alaska to Japan and not the other way around!

Jun 22, 2005 12:59 am - Left FedEx Ramp - NARITA-SHI JP
Jun 21, 2005 1:13 pm - Arrived at Sort Facility - ANCHORAGE AK

Hmmm.... I'm not obsessed, am I?

Anyway - last time it took 2 days to get to me from Alaska. I sure hope it's the same (or quicker this time). I need this thing by Thursday!!!

Not now. Before it was a US Naval Base, today I think its now an export zone.

It'd be so awesome to get it tomorrow! I know I won't get that lucky, though (though how sweet would that be! )

Did yours leave Anchorage at 4:57 pm (Alaska time)? Maybe they're on the same plane again...
Well I should be getting mine tomorrow!

It made it to Portland at a bit before 6, and it left at 8:12! It's probably already crossed the Columbia and made its way into Washington by now!

I hope all of you get yours soon as well!
Yeah it left Anchorage at 4:57...same plane again lol. I suppose its going to Memphis then being rerouted to wherever we are.

Seditionist, that's awesome! You should be getting a knock on your door from Fedex in the next couple of hours! Enjoy that new computer for all of us still waiting!

Siktik, is yours in Indianapolis now? Mine arrived at 3:16am. Not sure what it's doing now. I'll assume waiting for the next flight out to Memphis then to Florida like last time. Though, looking at the last track, mine sat in Indianapolis for a good 12+ hours before it started moving again... that's a long day of hitting 'refresh' anxiously awaiting the next move, LOL!

Hopefully there are no delays or anything and we get ours tomorrow!

Is it tomorrow morning yet?

*yawn* 6:15! What am I doing up at 6:15?

Yup, according to Fedex, my M680 left Seattle about 45 minutes ago! And the best part is, so did the RAM and mouse I ordered from Newegg! I'll get them at the same time!

My replacement went from Shanghai to Subic Bay, Ph, to Japan, to Anchorage, to Indianapolis. My expected arival date is Friday morning in St. Pete Fla. but I wouldn't be surprised to get it a day earlier. Endy, I hope these replacements do not have the bugs our first one had. Do you think that it might have been the 2.0 processor that caused them and that is why they have discontinued it?

I highly doubt it was the processor causing the bugs. You see plenty of people on these forums with Pentium-M 760's that have problem free laptops. I think they stopped making them an option (they only did this for a while) because they ran out! You just need to take a look at a lot of the signatures on these boards to see that the 2.0 Pentium-M is the most popular processor for Centrino-based laptops.

Ours probably took the entire same trip over. Mine also says delivery on friday by 10:30 am, but I think I'll get it tomorrow (keeping my fingers crossed!)

I never even got the 2.0 processor (even though it's what I was supposed to get), so I don't think that's the issue with mine. I agree with seditionist that they probably just ran out of stock of them or something (lousy timing on my part!) because I do see a ton of siggies with 2.0 listed, and those people don't necessarily have problems with their computer.

I don't know how my power surge error would have to do with the processor, but then again, I just know how to use computers, not how they work, LOL!

I think we just had some bad luck. I REALLY hope our luck changes, though, and we get PERFECT replacements! I won't rest easy til I get mine in my hands and get to use it for a while...

Yup, mine too! Our notebooks must be best friends by now, LOL! Yours is going to Florida, too, right? Hopefully they follow the same route as our originals and arrive at our doorsteps nice and early tomorrow morning!

Ugh....its being "held" in Memphis whatever that means. They posted that report at 2:30 - 3 hours after it got there. Come on guys.....get it on the southbound truck! I guess any hope of seeing it tomorrow morning has ended (it is now 5:30).

I know, it's killing me to see that! I'm still holding out hope, though. I've been comparing the two tracks, and the last one was held for about an hour and left Memphis around 3:30. I don't like that it's just being held around 3:30 now, and hasn't left yet. But... Once it did leave (last time) it only took about an hour and a half to get to Florida. I'm hoping they're just a few hours off this time.. For instance last time it left Indianapolis to go to Memphis around 1:30am... this time it didn't leave Indianapolis to go to Memphis til just after 9am. So.... maybe it just hasn't left yet. (I need a crossing fingers smiley!)

I'm really looking forward to getting it tomorrow. If not, I'm stuck til Monday. Figures Friday is the one day I won't be around!

I'll be watching the page... been hitting 'reload' all day!

Those of you who got yours today - how is it? No problems I hope?

Well, I'm pleased to report that I have had my Gateway since about 11:00 PST! I've already installed a gig stick of RAM and reformatted! Unfortunately, I had to then DL all of the drivers on my desktop and then transfer them to my lappy. For a while there my screen res was a stretched 800x600! *shudder*

I hope you guys recieve your M680's tomorrow! I'll post impressions and maybe a full on review later. Maybe tonight if I feel up to it...
