Yes, it applies to MX1000 only.

Guys, I realize that the battery is supposed to last really long and it's unlikely something will go wrong, but I'm just saying. If you have the mouse and use it a few months and for SOME STRANGE REASON, the battery dies on you... you're screwed

Logitech will replace the mouse. Almost undoubtedly.

I just got a MX900 and I am completely happy with it. Great piece of hardware, particularly if you have internal bluetooth already.

I think the Click! mouse uses the same dongle, but I haven't tested it. Same with the mini mice, not sure if their dongles are compatible.

You have to sync the dongle and the MX1000 to get it work, just like other mice. Press the connect button on both devices.
Do you have to e-mail Logitech to buy just the dongle? CompUSA is selling the mx1000 for $50 and the mx3100 (wireless keyboard and mx1000) for $100 after rebates, but I don't want to have to fork out another $50 for a decent wireless optical mouse for my laptop...

I've had the V500 for about a week and it's great so far. Very easy to use.

BTW, is there any way to enable a middle click on the scroll pad?

I went into the mouse properties and what not and could find a way, but if there is, please let me know.

I agree with the people that like the MX900 -- I got one last week and I'm loving it. I use it on my desktop with the base connected and switch off to my laptop when I'm going to be working somewhere that I can spread out and it's nice to be able to use the same mouse for both tasks.

How's the MX900 for gaming? Is there any lag/chopiness? Especially with FPS games...
I haven't noticed any lag yet with my MX900 .. But only been using it for a little over a week now ..
I agree, I have only had mine for a short time but I didn't experience any lag or choppiness while gaming.

I just got the logitech V500 today. I'm in love. Lack of middle click is bugging me a little but i'll get use to it.

I called Logitech's Tech Support. The number is on their website. I just asked if I could a replacement dongle for a MediaPlay mouse. Don't mention that you're using it with a MX1000, they'll just say that it won't work. It does.

well tell me something ,

r cordless mouse slower then the 1's with cord.... i mean the BT mouse or rf mouse is not for hardcore gaming ? like playing online ?
wired is definately faster than wireless. Not sure about the blue tooth ones though, they should be pretty fast. It's hard to beat a wire for online gaming though.

I'll answer 2 Q's at once:

The MX-900 has NO LAG on gaming. I play Doom3, to Splinter Cell, to Half Life2, to FarCry. No problems what so ever. Bluetooth is just as responsive as wired IMHO, and since I use both, I prefer the Bluetooth. Again, this is JMHO.

and what if i compare a bt mouse with a rf 1 ....

which should b faster?
