Guess what! Hypersonic has the new 17" laptop with 128mb 9600 pro and ht enabled with 800mhz front side bus!!!

I wouldnt get too excited, the bad build and quality of these is what brought me to alienware in the first place... the zx7 is made of extremely cheap crappy plastic, even my old dell fells "deluxe" compared to it

Funny...dont they get thier cases from the same place sager does? Clevo.

Its nice they upgraded that, but what im really interested in is Voodoo's new Athlon64 lappy. m:855 I think.

I've checked out the m:855, too. I think it's gonna have some heat issues. According to the tech gang at Voodoo, it can't handle a 128MB ATI 9600 card. I'm curious to see how that Athlon will compare to the Prescott chip. Another disappointment is the SXGA+ screen. That's a deal-breaker, in my book.

no no, i was refering to sager and hypersonic...mostly as a quip about people whos opinions lay with sager being the superior model; I thought it was just a funny dynamic.

The M855 from Voodoo seems like a great machine. It's disappointing they could'nt get the 128 Meg in there, but they've said gaming performance has been incredible. A 12 cell battery too, and they've got a great internal 5.1 soundcard too. The thing is pretty light and the AMD chip with the chipset will be impressive. It's cheap too, for a Voodoo. Starts out at $3000 - by the way, the response time is really low, 16ms I believe on the screen . They wanted it to be better for gaming, not higher-res. Plus, on a 15" screen, that's too small with UXGA.

no. thats not the debate as far as hardware. The sagerwars are over price. Primarily and also dealing with pctorqe wich offers the same models at cheaper prices. thing is, pctorques customer service is unmatched. period.
the sagerites thing is, sager is better because of price, and customer services....and this board which is also unmatched.

I do believe you were mistaken as these are what the sagerites say in comparison of others who also order from clevo. not the actual hardware.

Yeah....actually, not true. I won't say one is better - but Voodoo offers the same community as a BBoard and 1 on 1 HUMAN customer service. ALWAYS.

Pctorque or sager

they are different in the same. go to reseller ratings. i think theres only one gripe out of them all for pctorque. then check hypersonic. plus. i went to Sagers hq today for an upgrade on which i will post my experience.
I think its reseller ratings. and that pretty much covers it.
