Yang, really cool man

Mine will run really good at 4.029GHz but will crash at 4.2 after 15 min or so. The Tt Big Water isn't that strong but for my first step into water its worked out great.

On my graphic you posted:
CPU rpm is my Tt BW pump rpm
NB is the Abit chipset fan rpm
SYS is the 120mm Tt radiator fan rpm
Aux 1 is the Alienice fan rpm
Aux 2 original 120mm AW fan (case bottom) rpm

yeah, i turned off all the fans in EQ to have the running @ full, I'm glad I use headphones, b/c my rig is plenty loud

7x120mm
3x80mm
4x30mm
and then there are 2 psu fans

mj could the tt big water also cool your gpu?
i dont think think it comes w/ a gpy waterblock, but I think it uses 3/8" tubing and there a number of waterblocks that would fit...the problem is if the bigwater pump is able to handle another WB in the loop w/out a decrease in performance.

check out the link to my thread under my sig, I have some recommendations and links to watercooling info if you are interested

wow fast response, but if you any additional questions about "getting your feet wet"

than feel free to pm myself or mj etc.

watercooling is a great mod, but like any mod, necessary precautions and education is recommended =P

Do you think all in all, WCing is worth it?
yes, it allows you to basically get more bang for your buck (more efficient b/c it runs cooler and higher performance)

Water cooling is coming on strong - not very long ago on the far fringe techies would experiment with water cooling now its becoming mainstream.

When I first got my new Alienware I was really enjoying the power but I couldn't believe how loud it got when the Intel processor got hot. Iwas getting really down on it and I even added my own acoustic dampening to quiet it down which did help alot. It was still nowhere near where I wanted it to be. I researched water cooling and found a huge variety of solutions. So I set some criteria for what I wanted out of it.

1. Allow me to enjoy my new AW without hearing it over my games.
2. Allow me to run my P4 OC'd for extended periods of time.
3. It had to fit inside the Predator case (no external stuff).
4, It had to be priced right (after spending $$$ for system "wife")
5. It could be installed easily (I actually used 3DGameMan video below)

Now there are several other water cooling solutions that offer higher performance but the $119 Tt BW met all my criteria.

Great video of Tt Big Water

I wonder if performance would improve if you used a p3nis pump to move the water around?
Depends on the size of the p3nis pump I suppose......

The "Snakester 3000" is supposed to be superb.

i dont know what it is, i want to go water cooling but i want something that is gonna cool my cpu and gpu. northbridge too would be nice, but i would want a kit though, and priced real nice
post #38 of 48
You can get blocks for pretty much everything (processors, northbridge, video, and hard drive. If you want cheap, get a bigwater kit and buy Koolance blocks for anything else you want to cool.

Why go kitted? You can get better bang for your buck with DIY. I have gone both ways, and when you DIY it's easier to make changes down the road. My entire system was around $250, radiator, reseviour, LGA 775 bloc, GPU block, 12V pump clamps and tubing.

yea i know but there are alot of things, i think i still dont know about wc. maybe later on down the road when i know alot i can go DIY. i think i need a beginners kit. i dont want to go DIY and forget to get some small minute part.
